The Supervisor, Operations Crop Production and Farmer Development will be responsible for supervising day-to-day crop production activities and ensuring efficient farm operations from land preparation through harvesting.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily crop production activities from land preparation to harvest.
  • Plan and coordinate planting, crop maintenance, spraying, fertilizer application, and harvesting operations.
  • Monitor crop health, growth, pest and disease conditions, and overall field performance.
  • Coordinate farm workers, field officers, tractor operators, and other farm service providers.
  • Maintain accurate records of farm activities, inputs, labour, equipment, and crop performance.
  • Ensure proper use and application of seeds, fertilizers, agrochemicals, and other agricultural inputs.
  • Monitor farm productivity and ensure operations are completed within agreed timelines and budgets.
  • Prepare regular farm activity and production reports for management.
  • Support the implementation of Good Agricultural Practices and climate-smart farming practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Agronomy, Crop Production, Agriculture, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in commercial crop production or farm management.
  • Strong knowledge of crop production practices and farm operations.
  • Experience supervising farm workers and field activities.
  • Good understanding of agricultural inputs, pest and disease management, and crop nutrition.
  • Strong reporting, communication, organizational, and coordination skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability and willingness to work in the field and travel to farm locations.
