LGA Immunization Consultant at JSI Inc.
The LGA Immunization Consultant will support the planning and implementation of routine immunization and polio outbreak response activities within assigned LGAs.
The consultant will work closely with LGA Primary Health Care teams, health facilities, community structures, immunization partners and other relevant stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Support LGAs and ward personnel in developing detailed plans for routine immunization and nOPV2 delivery.
- Support capacity building for health personnel on routine immunization, nOPV2 administration, demand generation, supportive supervision, vaccine management and adverse event monitoring.Find Recruiters
- Support the implementation and documentation of planned fixed and outreach immunization sessions.
- Provide mentorship and supportive supervision to health facility service providers and outreach vaccination teams.
- Support the identification, tracking and referral of newborns, zero-dose and under-immunized children.
- Contribute to monitoring, analysis and reporting of programme indicators.Browse Careers
- Promote data quality and timely reporting.
- Support LGAs to analyse immunization data and provide feedback to health facility and community-level service providers.
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly activity reports to the State Immunization Consultant.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Nursing or a related field from a recognised institution.
- At least 3 years of work experience in immunization.
- Strong experience with routine immunization service delivery at LGA level.
- Ability to work extensively with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with local communities and people from diverse educational, cultural and religious backgrounds.
- Experience working on immunization programmes with government or international development partners will be an advantage.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Ability to give clear instructions.
- Knowledge of the local language in the assigned LGA is mandatory.
- Willingness and ability to travel within assigned LGAs, including under challenging conditions
