ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Miva Open University is building a new model of higher education focused on the African region, combining excellent academic talent with digital technologies to provide accessible and innovative tertiary education.
Successful candidates will contribute to teaching, research, student engagement, academic development and university activities within their respective disciplines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver undergraduate and/or graduate courses within the relevant discipline.
Develop and maintain course materials, including syllabi, lecture notes and assignments.
Create an engaging, inclusive and dynamic learning environment.
Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
Conduct research and contribute to scholarly publications.
Collaborate with colleagues and students on research projects.
Participate in departmental and university service activities.
Contribute to academic committees, policies and programme development.
Support student recruitment and outreach activities.
Stay current with developments in the relevant academic and professional field.
Update teaching methods and course content to reflect emerging technologies and industry trends.
NURSING POSITION
For the Nursing position, candidates are expected to have:Recruitment services platform
PhD in Nursing from an accredited institution.
RN certificate licensed by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria NMCN.
Prior teaching experience at undergraduate or graduate level.Practical work experience
Industry experience in Nursing.
Research publications in peer-reviewed and high-impact journals or conference proceedings.
Familiarity with modern pedagogical techniques and educational technology.
Evidence of involvement in academic or professional societies.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and students.
Commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion in education.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
